Student Travel Funding Request
Use this form to request travel from the GPBS to attend a meeting.
If you are the presenting author, you are eligible for at least $300 per fiscal year. You pay for your travel through your adviser or department, and then the GPBS will transfer appropriate funds to the account that funded the travel after all of the travel has been cleared through the university accounting. The GPBS does not provide up-front funding, nor does it directly reimburse students.

The Graduate Student Council, also linked on this page, also has travel funds up to $250 available, regardless of your year of study.
If your mentor contributed center indirect cost returns to the GPBS, you will receive up to an additional $700 (total $1,000 per student per year) if you are a presenting author. The amount over the initial $300 is capped at 3-times the amount of contributed funds for all of the mentor’s students in aggregate.
You may complete this form and request funding ahead of time (preferable), but it is not settled with the department until all of the travel has been paid and cleared. You may also complete this form after you travel.
