Student Travel Funding Request

Use this form to request travel from the Office of Graduate Education to attend a meeting.

If you are the presenting author, you are eligible for at least $300 per fiscal year. You pay for your travel through your adviser or department, and then the Office of Graduate Education will transfer appropriate funds to the account that funded the travel after all of the travel has been cleared through the university accounting. The OGE does not provide up-front funding, nor does it directly reimburse students.

Other sources of travel funds:

Graduate School: http://graduateschool.ufl.edu/prospective-students/funding/travel/

UF Research: https://research.ufl.edu/wp-content/uploads/Graduate-Student-Request-for-Travel-Funds.pdf

The Graduate Student Council offers grants to students traveling domestically* and internationally for conferences and professional development. To apply: https://sg.ufl.edu/resources/gsc/grants/

The students of faculty who contribute to the Center for Biomedical Sciences Research and Training (CBMSRT) will be eligible for up to $1,000/year in travel to a meeting, depending on mentor contribution. Otherwise, travel from the program is capped at $300 funded by the College of Medicine.

You may complete this form and request funding ahead of time (preferable), but it is not settled with the department until all of the travel has been paid and cleared.  You may also complete this form after you travel.
