Research Description:
Our lab is interested in how myosin molecular motors generate force on actin filaments and how defects in this fundamental cytoskeletal mechanism cause human disease. We study these processes in neurons and auditory mechanosensory hair cells, to model neurodegenerative and sensory disorders.
Topics of Interest:
- Cytoskeleton
- Molecular Motors
- Actin
- Sensory Biology
- Single Molecule
- Neurodegeneration
