Jose Francisco Abisambra
Associate Professor
Neuroscience
Research Description:
Dr. Abisambra’s research program focuses on fundamental biological processes critical for brain function that are affected by the protein tau, which adopts a toxic conformation in more than 20 neurodegenerative disorders collectively termed tauopathies. Central to his research program are Alzheimer’s disease and traumatic brain injury.
Topics of Interest:
- tauopathy
