Research Description:

Dr. Abu-Rustum currently serves as an Associate Professor and the Director of Ultrasound Services, Education & Research n the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida. She is President-Elect of ISUOG. She is the Past-Chair of ISUOG’s Basic Training Task Force and had served as ISUOG’s Ambassador to Lebanon and Outreach in the Middle East. She has also served as an AIUM Board Member, was the Co-Chair of the AIUM Annual Convention Committee and was a member of the SMFM Education and Global Health Committees. She is currently Vice-Chair of the SMFM Patient Education Committee. She was Co-Founder and President of SANA Medical NGO dedicated to obstetrical care within an outreach setting in Lebanon. She has served on two outreach missions with ISUOG to Sudan. She has authored the text “A Practical Guide to 3D Ultrasound”. Her primary areas of interest are the fetus in the first trimester, the fetal heart, global outreach and ultrasound education.
