Applicants for this award should be evaluated on both their academic accomplishments and involvement in activities that benefit the university and Gainesville community. Students need to have passed their qualifying exam and have above a 3.0 GPA. Although academics are important, the primary emphasis of the evaluation should be placed on the applicant’s contributions and service to UF and the community. The College of Medicine is allowed to nominate up to 2 students for this award.
Applicants for this award will be evaluated on their academic accomplishments during their tenure in our graduate program. This includes GPA, scientific publications, meeting presentations, and other relevant scholarly accomplishments (i.e.., fellowships, awards). Scholarly accomplishments prior to entry into our program should not be considered. The College of Medicine is allowed to nominate up to 5 students for this award.
